| Review: I saw this movie opening day and took my breath. James Cameron fictional story of Jack and Rose entwined with real life occurances were Haunting and absolutely beautiful. He is an amazing director and writer that this movie does not work without him.Kate Winslet as Rose was sensational and the film belonged to her, as I could not imagine anyone else playing this role.Leonardo DiCaprio was really good as Jack and he had an Oscar candidacy for this role and increasingly brilliant Billy Zane did not disappoint in the role of Roses boyfriend Cal. His portrayl of Cal was so bad, that even though a horrible person, you could not help but feel sorry for him, especially when in spite of all his works he loved Rose so much. James Horners music is equally fascinating and always lifts the film he is working on a final level.Kathy Bates equally impressive in a small role and provided a lot of laughs in the film. All of the special effects for sets of costumes was pure magic.This should be one of the most beautiful films of the 20th century and that will never be forgotten. |
