| Review: Rised Wind is a fictional biopic of Jiro Horikoshi, an aeronautical engineer who designed the Japanese military aircraft before and during World War II. World War II is still a sensitive topic, especially for people like me, who come from neighboring countries that have been deeply hurt by the Japanese. He got the wind is mans dream to design a plan. Unfortunately, its design has been used for military purposes. In this film, real events have faded into the background. Miyazaki tells the story of a very narrow their staff. You do not hear the war affects the characters in the story in a profound way. I thought that I could not enjoy the story. Speaking of Studio Ghibli themed war movie, I was moved from Grave of the Fireflies. But I can not say the same for wind Rises.Besides pursue the dream of designing aircraft, the wind rose is also a love story. There are some touching moments. But those precious moments rather pale in the era of war and tragedy. Visually, the film is good, but do not be like the previous Studio Ghibli films (as I recall). There are many scenes of smoke, and some kissing scenes. I do not remember if there are kissing scenes in other films of Studio Ghibli. For a moment, I wonder if there will be a sex scene.
